20 Non-Candy Valentine's Day ideas
Valentine’s Day is such a fun day for kids, swapping cards and having a class party. But it also seems like there is an expectation of candy and chocolate. I don’t know about you guys, but it seems that we’re all still detoxing from the holiday treats and now we’re going head first into the next treat-based holiday. I still want to be able to send my daughter to daycare with Valentine’s Day cards and gifts, but I don’t want to contribute to the class-wide sugar hype.
So, I set to brainstorming ideas that would still please a bunch of young kids without having to send out a bunch of sugary treats. I also didn’t want to get the kids all something that would immediately end up in the trash. So, no sugar and no waste. Got it. This is going to be trickier than I thought.
After brainstorming ideas, and watching what held my three-year-old daughter’s attention, I came up with a short list of no-candy Valentine’s Day ideas.
